In high school, i took a course in biology. Our instructor was a man that had an amphibian heart and this means, instead of a 4 chambered heart, he only had 3 chambers. His fingernails were wider than the average size and the skin around it had a blue-greenish tint to it. could this be a leftover genetic trait form our evolution?

Hmmm.... Yes, it could be.
Have to check out his pedigree analysis for that trait. It'll give a good idea to answer it correctly (without making speculations).
